Approach

My approach to psychotherapy is warm, non-judgmental, collaborative, and conversational. I strive to create with you a safe space where, over time, we can understand and make meaning of the ways in which you experience and interact with the world. I believe that understanding, at least in part, why we do what we do is the first step toward making positive change and living a richer, more authentic life.

My work is grounded in psychodynamic, attachment, and existential-phenomenological theories, but I often incorporate other approaches in order to best meet the needs of my clients. I am interested in how meditation and mindfulness practices can help us live our lives more skillfully.
