Psychotherapy for Perinatal & Midlife Transitions

You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending. – C.S. Lewis.

I have been supporting women with perinatal anxiety and depression for over 15 years. Becoming a parent engenders a profound psychological shift, and my clients often bring in feelings of isolation, exhaustion, disconnection, overwhelm, worry, or sadness. I also have a deep interest in helping women navigate later life transitions—whether that’s the hormonal and emotional changes of menopause, the complex realities of caring for aging parents, or the bittersweet experience of an empty nest. Knowing you’re not alone and having a safe space to process all the feelings—at any stage of life—can be incredibly healing.

I am very interested in how early attachment relationships impact how we see ourselves, and how we move through the world. These core beliefs can resurface or become amplified during major life transitions. A safe therapeutic relationship creates space to make sense of emotions and reactions, and learn strategies and skills to bring more peace and stability into our lives.

My approach to psychotherapy is warm, non-judgmental, collaborative, and conversational. I generally work from a psychodynamic, attachment-based perspective, but often incorporate other approaches, particularly mindfulness practices, in order to best meet the needs of my clients. I genuinely love this work, and look forward to hearing from you.
